Generation of test aerosols similar to diesel soot through combustion of gases

The DSP (defined soot particle) series is able to produce particles similar to diesel soot also at high concentrations with relatively narrow size distributions. The DSP series is also able to generate very high particle mass flows of up to 3 g/h.

The McKenna "flat flame" burner is used as the burner. The burner produces a one-dimensional flame with the premixed fuel gas. This burner has been in successful use in research on a wide variety of applications for many years now.

Optimally reproducible adjustment of the particle size distribution and mass flow is very easy using the fuel gas/air mixing ratio.
